November 2011:

A very interesting, informative networking and chatting event:  SALON 6 -- sponsored by IWA, the Institute for Women & Art, Rutgers University.

Met the warriors:  artist Joan Snyder, and artist Audrey Flack. 

Marilyn Symmes just put out a book on Joan's art; it's great.  Color, color everywhere and not a splash too soon.

Talk about gracious: hosted by (and at her home) Marjorie Martay. 

And Judy Brodsky: full of ideas and encouragement and really nice to finally meet her.

Sometimes it all clicks. ! 

And then Audrey and I proceeded to almost get run over by taxis at Columbus Circle.  Blab on, women!, it's only your lives in your own hands.

Ursula von Rydingsvard:

"Mondays at Ursula's" is  on ice for now.    Two years down the line,  and  I'm getting more work work, and art opportunities.... so Mondays will have to be happily spent on these things.

It was a great 2 years of Mondays in Ursula's  studio.

Her crew is TOPS,

and her  book,   WORKING, with Patricia Phillips, is out.  Prestel Press.
